That’s where Data Sources come in. Connect your Supdate account to other systems such as ChartMogul or Google Analytics and we’ll make getting your data a breeze.
Getting StartedTo get started just click the top-right menu and choose the Data Source option.
From there you can choose which Data Sources to connect to your account.
You only need to set these up once and your data will constantly be available for your reports..
Map Your Metrics
Click the “Metrics” menu. Edit or Create your metrics.
You’ll see an option to select a Data Source for each Metric.
The values available depend on what Data Sources you have set up. But as an example you might have a Metric that you’ve called “Website Visitors” and you’ve also set up Google Analytics integration. In which case you’d select “Google Analytics – Sessions” as the Data Source for that Metric.
Once you’ve mapped all of the Metrics that you want to you’re now ready to start importing data.
Importing Historical Data
If you’re just getting started then you’ll probably want to import some historical data so that your graphs on your first report are useful.
From the Metrics page click the ‘Edit Metric Data’ button at the top-right of the page.
You’ll see a button labelled “Import”. Click that and we’ll fetch your data from your Data Sources and fill in the boxes with the relevant values.
We’ll highlight in yellow any new values we’ve retrieved so that you can easily check them if you want to.
Once you’re happy with the data click the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page.
You now have your historical data imported.
Import Data for Reports
Each month when you complete a report you’ll reach a step where you are asked for the latest values for your metrics.
On this page you’ll see the “Import” button at the top of the page.
Click it and we’ll import values for the current month.
Just as above, we’ll highlight the new values in yellow for you to review before saving them.
