When I was running my first business, updating shareholders on progress was a pain in the behind. It distracted me from running the business so I often ended up rushing to put together a quick email with whatever highlights I could remember. I’d click send and do the same a month later.

Not much use to anyone!

Eventually I worked out a process that made updates much easier for me and more informative for the recipients. But more importantly it made the updates more useful for me so I resented it less.

After selling my business I decided (after some time off!) to build a tool to help other businesses use this process and take the pain out of monthly updates.
